documenta
we just got back from three days in kassel germany where we checked out the art at Documenta 12
We managed to find a few things that we each liked- also we ate a lot of kuchen (german cake)
drove back to dusseldorf- since it was more adventurous to drive on the german freeway and actually came out cheaper than for us to both take the train-now we are back in Flers- home sweet flers- and it is a race to finish our work- and to pull off a good show!!!!

we had some guests from paris this weekend
paule, valentine and vanessa visit us from paris this weekend and i put them to work putting up petals and sanding plaster- they love the sound it makes (like nails on a chalkboard) they had their own flat to stay in and got to party at the disco here in flers so they were well compensated.....we will be staying at their place in paris on our way to germany in a few days- we are going to Documenta in Kassel- even though it got really bad reviews

a night out in flers
we went to ali's karaoke bar, but it was to late to sing.... next time we will get there earlier to dominate the mike!
our new mates- the flers police force
On our way back from kararke we were stopped by the police- who addressed us by asking if we were the ones making all of the noise- we explained that we were on our way back from the bar- and they detected an accent and Jerome asserted that we were two artists in residence from NYC- (hardly from NYC) but to keep things simple and impressive we went along with it....
they pulled over to park their huge police truck- in order to engage in more dialogue- which eventually led to us giving them a tour of 2angles and our entire studio in the middle of the night- it was funny, and seemed so wacky- until they returned an hour or so later (thinking that maybe if they shone their flashlight under our gate and waved their hands that they would attract our attention- they did- (we quickly turned off our bedroom light and layed low until they gave up and went away) the moral of the story is never get too friendly with police men who are on night duty in a small town.... comme Flers-
